5 Stylish Ways to Decorate Your Table for Fall

Sep 21, 2022

The best part about fall is that it happens just once a year. Each season brings something completely new and exciting. We get to experience the gorgeous changing leaves, cozy sweaters, hot apple cider, and so much more. The fall season also means it’s time to decorate for the new season! From acorns and gourds to scarecrows and cornstalks, autumn is filled with fun ways to bring this lovely time of year into your home. You don’t have to spend a bunch of money on decorations either! These 5 tips will help you decorate your table for fall without breaking the bank.

Add some colour with fall flowers

Fall brings a whole new range of colors. You can bring these autumn hues into your home with some flowers. Add an array of fall flowers to your table and you’ll instantly make it look like fall! In addition to the beautiful colors, they smell great too!

Welcome the harvest with pumpkins

and corn Let’s start with the basics. Pumpkins and corn are the quintessential fall decorations. They come in a variety of shapes, colors, and sizes and will make your table look amazing. You can display them in pots or you could carve them into jack-o-lanterns to greet your guests. If you want to get a little more creative with your pumpkins and corn, you could also use them to create a centerpiece that pops! For example, you could put some of the smaller pumpkins on spikes across the front of a white tablecloth or lay corn stalks out between each place setting. Your guests will love it!

Lighten up with LED candles and lanterns

You can find these lights in pretty much any store for a reasonable price. You’ll want to make sure you get the led candles or lanterns that are either battery operated or solar powered since you don’t want to have to be plugging them in all the time. These lights will add a warm glow to your table and make everything feel so cozy without being too overpowering like traditional decorations. Just place them on the table near your centerpiece, along the side of your table, or even on top of it!

Surprise your guests with a small twist

The best part about the fall season is that you can get really creative with your table decorations. Surprise your guests with a small twist and use some unexpected items to bring the fall theme into your dining area. For instance, what if you added a few leaves to your centerpieces for color? Or how about using acorns in place of traditional candlesticks? You could also incorporate a scarecrow or cornstalk centerpiece for a rustic touch. If you want to keep things simple and cost-effective, try layering your tablecloth and napkins with fall colors like browns, reds, and oranges. Just add one slice of pumpkin pie (or whatever autumnal dessert catches your eye) to complete the look!
